Making iPhone 6 or 7 cases

For this project I have used a 1.2mm natural baby calf veg tanned leather, the case doesn't not require any skiving and only three stitching lines are needed to assemble all the parts together the skills and techniques required are very similar to the ones needed to make the iPad case.

A video is better than a thousand words.

I think your site is wonderful. I am very new to leather work after making some beer holsters. It was fun but I know nothing about leather types. The leather I used seems way too thick for a wallet or iPhone case. What terms should I know and what should I look for in the leather store?

    Thanks,

    Hello Jon,

Sorry for late reply I have just seen your message.
No problems, this is not an issue, the case has been tested and I have never noticed this issue.

    Thanks,

    Alex

    Good Afternoon!
My iphone has buttons on the side of it. Is there enough space on the sides to keep them from being “clicked” by the case when inserting the phone? I note that the clear plastic construction mold doesn’t have buttons on the side.
    Thanks & Best Regards,
    Jon
